The Lexus NX 350 F-Sport has everything to like, including a turbo-charged 2.4L engine that produces 245 horsepower. The power-plant is linked to an 8-speed transmission with paddle shifters and all-wheel drive. Fuel economy for the fast ride average 25 mpg.
The NX 350 is small and compact riding on 20” wheels. The exterior paint is a “Ultrasonic Blue Mica” and the interior laced with leather covered steering wheel and shift knob. A seven-inch full color screen holds the information display. Sound pours from the 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio.
The NX 350 has a strong adaptive suspension system with front and rear performance dampers. Steering is precise and curves hardly exist. The drive has three performance modes; normal, fast and faster, formally on the dial S and S Plus.
The NX 350 is assembled in Miyawaka, Japan and has a suggested manufacturers retail price of $45,650, and has an extensive F-Sport package that lifts the price considerably with desirable features.
I’m growing fond of the road sign assist that shows all of the road signs, speed limits, cross walk warnings, and various hazards. A neat feature that should be on all car models.
The Lexus Safety System has all of the most recent safety bells and whistles along with eight air bags and Smart Stop technology.
The car is not safety rated but no doubt will have a perfect score.
This is a fun car, a fast drive with turbo acceleration and eight gear choices, if desired. It is more of an individual sports car choice rather than a family grocery wagon.
Good drivers like high performance vehicles, such as the NX 350.
