Join us for an evening of storytelling, connection, and community.

Colorado Humanities is proud to share an invitation to the Spring Storytelling Soirée on Friday, May 15 at 6 PM in Centennial hosted by Unbound Authors—an annual gathering that brings together advocates, artists, educators, and supporters who believe in the power of voice and the importance of access to creative expression.
Across Colorado, Unbound Authors works alongside incarcerated writers to build communication skills, confidence, and pathways to opportunity through storytelling. This event is a celebration of that work—and the community that makes it possible.
This year’s soirée marks a powerful next chapter, including the debut of Unbound Authors’ first anthology and the launch of a statewide prison newspaper through Mercury Mountain Media.
Unbound Authors is a nonprofit writing and communication program working inside Colorado correctional facilities in partnership with the Colorado Department of Corrections. Led by a formerly incarcerated Executive Director, their work is grounded in lived experience, trust, and authentic relationships.
When you show up, you’re helping ensure that writers inside have access to the tools, support, and platforms they deserve.
We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful evening.
