What I liked best about this elegant “Copper Crest” painted RZ is the design and appearance both outside and inside. The panoramic glass roof lets the sunshine through high fashion. The interior is spacious and luxurious and seats five-passengers in heated and cooled seats. Prices vary on the RZs, depending upon drive train, options, and front wheel, or all-wheel drive. The lowest price, in a variety of prices, depending upon options, was $43,975 at the low end of choices of different models
The 14” information center controls and large digital gauge display controls all the vehicle functions. Air conditioning and heat work well but also consume electricity, dropping the range for the RZ that is estimated between 196 and 266 for distance on a full charge. My experience on this model and others is mountain drives consume considerably more power and heating and cooling function reduce mileage. This RZ has a 4-year/50,000-mile power-train warranty.
This is such an elegant appearing vehicle, with the glass roof, Bi-Led lights, and dark premium metallic alloy wheels. The performance is stellar, and the only obstacle is finding convenient charging stations. With the electric mileage having 90 miles left, I inquired of my neighbor, who has an electric car, and a fast-charging system, if I might recharge the RZ for additional driving time. In checking we found that the plug-in connections on the front right bumper did not match his equipment. Another challenge for electric vehicles is to have a uniform charging system and to supply a converter plug-in.
This is a quality vehicle that performs well and can win a beauty contest. The drive distance just needs to be extended for longer trips.
