For the past year, Better Together Productions and PBS12 have been working together with Cobbled Streets, a nonprofit that provides enriching opportunities and life changing experiences for youth in the foster care system. The outcome of this work is a short film, “Rebecoming Me,” that depicts the lived experience of five individuals who navigated parts of their childhood within the foster care system.
On Wednesday, January 17th, “Rebecoming Me” will officially be released to the public at an event in partnership with PBS12, the Common Sense Institute and the Morgridge Family Foundation.
After the film, stay for a discussion with a panel of experts including John Farnam of Morgridge Family Foundation, Shari Shink of Cobbled Streets, Ann Ayers of Raise the Future and other experts on the foster system.
We would be honored to have you join us for this free event on January 17th as we continue to have meaningful conversations around how we can all play a role in creating positive change for our community and the foster care system in Colorado.
