Saturday Night Alive, the annual mega-benefit for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, coming up March 2, got a huge turnout for its patron party last week at the Westin Tabor Center.
Jamie Angelich, our 2012 Villager Woman of the Year, is chairing SNA and no doubt that some of her own friends helped fill the reception room. Adding to them, the loyal SNA supporters turned out in force to get a head start on the auction items. Susan Kiely is chairing that effort. Patrons got their credit card type bidder numbers and immediately many dove for the best items. That includes an $11,074 trip to Australia flying business class and three-night stay at a hot spot in Sydney that comes with a slew of activities.
The $13,000 World Traveler item is for “almost anywhere in the world,” as the item states. Other trips to Paris, London, Hawaii, Cabo and Cancun are in that section as well. Also listed is a trip to L.A. to see the Tonight Show with Jay Leno with airfare and hotel included. If you haven’t been to the show, you’ve got to go!
Being a bling addict, I fell in love with the Williams Jewelers triple Q-shaped diamond pendant and why not? The stock market’s way up over last year and it’s time to celebrate and keep those greenbacks circulating.
The 50,000 children who benefit from SNA’s auction should be on your mind when considering last minute tickets to SNA at 303-446-4812.
Among those at the patron party: Susan Stiff, Faye and Dr. Reggie Washington, Donald Seawell, Judi Wolf, Gayle and Ed Novak, Stephen Edmonds, our 2012 Villager Man of the Year; Adrienne Ruston Fitzgibbons and Jack Fitzgibbons, as well as Terri and Al Fisher, Alice Foster and Ryta Sondergard.
