Robin Wise to retire after 35 years from Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain

Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain (JARocky Mountain) has announced a leadership transition as President & CEO Robin Wise plans to retire at the end of 2026, concluding an extraordinary 35 year career with the organization. To support a smooth and thoughtful transition, Wise will continue to serve as President & CEO until her successor is selected and fully onboarded, ensuring stability and continuity for the organization.

Robin Wise’s tenure is defined by transformative impact, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to young people. Since assuming the role of President & CEO in 1991, she has led JA Rocky Mountain’s efforts to expand access to learning experiences that equip students with the skills and confidence needed to pursue opportunity and achieve economic mobility.

Under Wise’s leadership, JARocky Mountain has strengthened partnerships across the business, education, and nonprofit communities and remains a trusted regional leader in workforce readiness education. Her influence extends beyond organizational growth to the mission driven culture she continues to cultivate – one that inspires staff, volunteers, board members, and partners through integrity, optimism, and a shared commitment to impact. The results of that leadership are evident today in the hundreds of thousands of local students whose lives have been shaped by Junior Achievement programs.

“We are deeply grateful for Robin’s leadership and the lasting impact she has had on JARocky Mountain,” said Darrin Foster, Chair of the JARocky Mountain Board of Directors. “As she prepares for retirement after 35 years of service, we celebrate a career that leaves the organization strong, respected, and exceptionally well positioned for the future.”

In preparation for Wise’s retirement, the JARocky Mountain Board of Directors has launched a search for the organization’s next President & CEO – one who will build on the remarkable foundation she has established while leading the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. The Board has engaged an executive search firm to support a comprehensive, thoughtful, and missionaligned process.

As the search progresses, JARocky Mountain continues its work with focus and momentum, empowering young people, strengthening district and business partnerships, and advancing economic opportunity throughout Colorado and Wyoming.
