Carrie Penaloza is sworn in as the Centennial mayor pro tem by Judge Ford Wheatley March 4.
Centennial District 2 Council Member Carrie Penaloza was sworn in March 4 to serve as mayor pro tem. This position is elected annually and serves mayoral functions during any temporary absences of the mayor.
Penaloza is a Colorado attorney who has spent years in numerous municipalities as a city prosecutor. She serves as a liaison to a number of community organizations and committees, which include:
“I am honored to be elected as mayor pro tem by my fellow city council members,” Penaloza said. “I appreciate the opportunity to serve the citizens of Centennial and look forward to continuing to make the city the best it can be.”
