BY SCOTTIE TAYLOR IVERSONCOMMUNITY EDITOR Savory Vietnam Pho and Grill opened the entire restaurant for a unique Asian-themed event to benefit Nathan Yip Foundation (NYF). The Mid-August Moon Festival is often referred to as the Thanksgiving of the East – quality time with family, celebrating the harvest. Abundant courses including round foods (such as irresistible sesame balls) were served representing the full moon. Linda and Jimmy Yip founded the Nathan Yip foundation in honor of their late son, Nathan who wanted to make a difference in the world especially in education for the underprivileged. NYF serves rural schools in China as well as rural schools in Colorado.
