Women’s fraternities are sometimes thought of as purely social, party organizations. The nationally recognized and multiple-award-winning Denver Area Panhellenic (DAP), comprised of alumnae representatives of the 26 national and international Greek organizations, aims to dispel that myth.
In addition to philanthropy, the groups focus on education and leadership. On Saturday, March 9, five remarkable women will share their stories and paths to success at University of Denver’s Margery Reed Hall, Raiman Theatre at 2306 E. Evans Avenue.
Three years ago, former DAP President Dr. Olinga Hargreaves developed the concept of a “Leadership Summit” to raise funds for DAP scholarships awarded to outstanding collegians who were members of sororities. Her brainchild has grown, and this year’s speakers have powerful credentials that are abbreviated here only because of space.
