Kim Keith, executive director of Steamboat Creates (the evolution of the Steamboat Springs Arts Council), was elected March 3 to the board of directors of Colorado Humanities.
Colorado Humanities’ mission is to inspire the exploration of ideas and appreciation of Colorado’s diverse cultural heritage. “Kim’s creative leadership and community connectedness through a vast array of partners and stakeholders will greatly benefit Colorado Humanities’ mission and vision,” said Colorado Humanities Board Chair Michel Dahlin.
Colorado Humanities’ programs include the annual Black History Live tour, living history festivals such as High Plains Chautauqua in Greeley; the facilitated community discussions “Changing the Legacy of Race” and “Still Coming Home: Conversations About the Experience of War;” the Colorado Book Awards; Colorado Encyclopedia; Motheread/Fatheread Colorado; and Veterans Writing workshops.
