A wide array of collectibles belonging to members and friends of the Rotary Club of Englewood were on the auction block to support the club’s scholarships to college and trade school students. Members donated a wide array of items that ran the gamut from party-attired dolls to well loved teddy bears and even a cat that meowed. Ladies’ jewelry was also popular. Fun collectables brought oohs and ahs!
Among the Rotary Club’s items were a porcelain brooch by artist Cynthia Chang, a well respected ceramic artist. There was an array of estate pieces donated by club members and sold to other club members at the Holiday Fair. It was downright fun to watch the goings on and we admit, got into the action as well!
Club co-president Susan Van Dyke chaired the charity auction.
Funds went to The Englewood Public Schools for college scholarships and trade schools.
The Rotary Club of Englewood meets each Wednesday at noon.
