Did you know that there is a hidden jewel in the center of Englewood? Hidden in plain sight and yet known online all over the U.S. Creator Mundi – Distinctive Sacred Art & Gifts creatormundi.com.
Throughout this year, Creator Mundi (Latin for “Creator of the World”) celebrates its 30th anniversary as a unique woman-owned business in Englewood and the Denver metro area.
Hildegard Letbetter, founder and owner, started Creator Mundi in her carriage house in the fall of 1987 with just a couple of beautiful cast bronze pieces from Germany. After a few years on Main Street in downtown Littleton, she moved to a gallery on Third Avenue in Cherry Creek where it has been for 18 years. Creator Mundi is now on Englewood’s civic center plaza right next to the Englewood Light Rail station. From here Letbetter runs the art gallery and boutique gift shop as well as her e-commerce website online. ”It wasn’t always easy to weather the ups and downs of the economy as a small business,” she says. “But sacred art and meaningful symbols are my mission, so I stuck with it and am thrilled to celebrate this milestone!”
Creator Mundi seeks to help celebrate life’s special events and create sacred spaces by providing unique, inspiring art and gifts of the highest heirloom quality to individuals, specialty stores, churches, hospitals and educational institutions all over the U.S. All of the pieces, whether small bronze plaques or figurines, or large, one-of-a-kind originals are made in European and U.S. studios by accomplished artisans and craftspersons who are justly compensated and work in safe and healthy environments.
