		<description><![CDATA[It’s been a fascinating year of travel and one trip in particular, with my mom Maureen Cannon, both of Cherry Hills Village, had a profound impact on us. We had the privilege of traveling to Haiti with a group of doctors and advisors from the University of Notre Dame Haiti Program. As one can imagine, visiting Haiti was both a shocking and exhilarating experience.  The purpose of our trip was to learn more about the collaboration between the University of Notre Dame, the World Health Organization, and the Center for Disease Control in their joint efforts to eradicate the horrific disease Lymphatic Filariasis, also known as elephantiasis.]]></description>
