Goodwill honorees attest to ‘The Power of Work’
Four Goodwill employees were honored at the Power of Work Luncheon, April 25, attracting a sold out house of 900 guests to the Marriott City Center. Jackie Weimer won the Family Strengthening Award for continuing to train race horses on the ranch she and husband Jim Weimer run. Jackie Weimer benefitted from Goodwill’s AgrAbility program that holds workshops to help farmers and ranchers who have mounting disabilities. Beset by scoliosis, knee replacements and difficult breathing, she continues ranching thanks to Jill Stump, who helped get Jackie new equipment.
