While Republicans have primaries for county commissioner in two districts, Democrats put forth sole candidates for each of the two races at the Arapahoe County assembly on April 10.
Centennial City Councilwoman Rebecca McClellan was nominated at the Democratic County Assembly April 10 to run in District 2, which is being vacated by incumbent Republican Jim Dyer.
And Nancy Jackson, an Aurora Community College professor, received the nomination for the District 4 race. Incumbent Pat Noonan declined to run again. Noonan had said beforehand that if a qualified candidate came forth, she’d step back.
In the statehouse races, all eight incumbents are running for office again. There is no candidate as yet for House District 40.
According to the Democratic party of Arapahoe County, nominees include:

In the poll for U.S. Senate, challenger Andrew Romanoff received more votes than incumbent Michael Bennet, who was appointed to fill the vacancy when Ken Salazar was appointed Secretary of the Interior. Romanoff received about 57 percent of the vote to Bennet’s 42 percent. There were a handful of uncommitted votes.
