South Metro Fire Rescue voters put three on board

Richard Sokol topped all candidates in the South Metro Fire Rescue board of directors election, May 4.

In unofficial results, Sokol received 6,060 votes.

He was elected to the board along with Dave Jackson, who received 5,056 votes, and Jim Olmsted, who received 4,358.

Other candidates and their vote totals include: Stephen A. Barlow, 4,063; Paul Rosenberg, 3,599; and William K. McGee, 1,572.

Sokol, Jackson and Olmsted were sworn in May 10, and will serve four-year terms.

Jason Berglund had withdrawn from the race. No votes were counted for him.
