While debate over the nation’s health care system continues, an experienced urgent care physician has opened a new solution for the Denver area’s ailing medical system. Doctors Express, the first national urgent care franchise, has opened in Centennial at 8006 E. Arapahoe Road Suite 100, Centennial, CO 80112.
Dr. Chris Prior’s goal is to redefine the patient experience by eliminating long waits associated with doctor’s office or emergency room visits. Prior will use both a medical and business approach to deliver affordable, efficient, non-emergency treatment to almost anyone who walks in.
“Colorado needs a fresh approach to medical service and our team of experienced health care professionals provides a whole new experience with Doctors Express,” said Prior. “Patients want to get treated by experienced physicians without sitting all day in a waiting room. We believe Doctors Express is an efficient, low-cost health care solution that will improve access to quality medical care though out the state.”
Say your son breaks a bone playing hockey.
Option 1: Wait for hours to be treated in the emergency room while he agonizes in pain.
Option 2: Go to your pediatrician for a referral, to a medical center for an x-ray, to the orthopedic surgeon to set the broken bone in a cast and to the pharmacy for pain medicine.
Option 3: Doctors Express does it all under one roof.
“We’re the solution for the active, busy family”, says Dr. Prior.
Prior is an experienced family physician who has dedicated his life to caring for the sick.
He graduated with Honors from Dartmouth College and went on to perform research on Parkinson’s disease at Yale University before graduating from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine with Honors and joining the US Army. Prior completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and was awarded the Bronze Star for his multiple overseas tours of duty in the pacific and middle east. Prior has played lacrosse his entire life and has played in the World Cup 2002-2006.
Prior is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, holds a CAQ in Sports Medicine, is Level II Certified by the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation, and is a Designated Civil Surgeon. Prior is active in the American Academy of Family Practice and Colorado Academy of Family Practice.
Prior and his wife Suzanne moved to Colorado to be closer to family. They have three daughters, Casey, Brianna and Emma whom are active in soccer and figure skating.
“We’re excited to call Colorado our home,” Prior said. “I love becoming the ‘neighborhood doc’ in Centennial and am looking forward to meeting and treating the many wonderful families here.”
