It’s a health care headache that needs a cure: long waits for appointments, long waits in your doctor’s office and emergency rooms packed with patients all trying to get help. Denver doctor Chris Prior says he has the prescription to cure the ailing health care industry with his new urgent care center called Doctors Express that just opened at 8006 E Arapahoe Road, Suite 100 in Centennial. It’s the first time ever urgent care has been nationally franchised and this is the first Doctors Express to open in Colorado.

“The people of Denver need a new health care solution,” said Prior. “Patients deserve access to quality care that is easily accessible and affordable. The time has come to put patients first so our mission at Doctors Express is to give patients the red carpet treatment they need and deserve.”
Doctors Express is different because under one roof, Prior will diagnose and treat illnesses, X-ray and set broken bones, test and give immediate results for strep and mono, and fill most prescriptions right on the spot. On top of this, the average wait time to see Prior is only 15 – 20 minutes.
Every patient is seen by experienced physicians who are trained to handle severity of illnesses from Level 1 – Level 4. Many urgent cares only handle severity cases from Level 1 – Level 2. The long-term goal is to have a Doctors Express in 3,000 cities throughout the country so no matter where you go; you have a recognizable, reliable medical center you can trust.
“When creating the Doctors Express model, we listened to patients and made sure we addressed their needs,” said Prior. “Let’s face it, colds and injuries don’t all happen between 9-5 Monday through Friday. When you need to see a doctor, we’re there … no appointments are necessary.”
Doctors Express is conveniently opened weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
