Sherry and Frank Sargent celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 25. The couple met at Ohio Wesleyan University as undergrads and were married in 1960 in Sherry’s hometown of Garden City, N.Y.
Frank attended Medical School at Ohio State University and the couple had four children.
In 1970, they moved to Cherry Hills Village when Frank began his urology practice. As a boy growing up in Dayton, Ohio, Frank’s parents owned a house on Evergreen Lake. Frank spent many summers there and always believed he would live in Colorado.
They are still residents of Cherry Hills and continue to enjoy giving back to the community they love as tireless volunteers involved in the Cherry Creek School District, Rotary, Inter-Faith Task Force, and many other area causes.

Two of the couples grown children live nearby: Craig lives in Cherry Hills and Linda Sargent Wegner in Greenwood Village, where they are raising their children now. Their two other sons, Jim and Stephen, live near Dallas, Texas, with their families.
To mark the occasion, the couple went to Breckenridge with their four children, their spouses and the nine grandchildren (ages 7-21) for a few days of endless family fun. Activities included rock climbing, volleyball, fishing, swimming, hiking, Alpine slide, panning for gold, bungee jumping, putt putt golf, old family movies and great family conversation throughout.
Sherry and Frank are grateful to have had this family time that allowed for everyone to make special memories and recognize the importance of faith and family.
